We're glad to welcome another new Forum member Roy Dunn, who when asked to identify himself in order to join, says:
I’m the real deal. My name is Roy Dunn (0351). I arrived at Danang September ’68 and was assigned to Echo Co., 2/26 and went straight to the bush… don’t ask me where. All I remember is landing at LZ Stud and a couple days later going to Dong Ha, getting my gear and leaving there by chopper to somewhere.
I served a total of 8 years and foolishly left the Marines to go back to school. I was an E-6.
The attached photo was taken just after my first taste of the bush, probably November ’68 aboard USS Dubuque (LPD?)

Welcome, Roy. "H" 2/26 was also on the Dubuque, but if memory serves me correct we left the ship at the end of August or early September of '68. Semper Fi
